The Story ...
Reg and Terry have been friends for many years and this friendship
become even closer when, in 1998, they both lost their wives to
the ravages of cancer.
Early in 2001, during a few pints down the local, Reg and Terry came
up with the idea of trying to raise a substantial amount of money in
aid of Cancer Research UK.
Both were keen bikers 'when they were young' but had not ridden a motorbike
for many years. Together they hatched a plan to relive their younger days and
to tour Europe to raise money.
Between them, they will have spent some £10,000 of their own money buying
motorcycles, producing advertising material and planning this great expedition.
They hope to travel to TWENTY European countries in just SIXTY days and
in so doing, raise thousands of pounds through sponsorship and donations for
Cancer Research UK (Formally, The Imperial Cancer Research Organisation).
Early in May, they will set off on their journey and, each week, we will feature
pictures and information to keep you all informed of their progress.
